　　内容简介：To tackle China’s profound environmental problems, Chinese banks have been encouraged to direct loan financing to the “green” enterprises and projects and away from highly polluting and high energy-consuming enterprises and projects. In this paper, we focus on examining the impacts of air pollution exposure and the “Green Credit Policy and “Green Credit Guidelines” implemented in 2007 and 2012, respectively, on the green loans issued by Chinese banking institutions. We find that green loans have significantly increased after the introduction of the green credit policies and such effect is more pronounced among the state-controlled banks and the state-owned environmentally friendly companies. However, the high pollution, high energy consumption and overcapacity firms find them more difficult to access bank loans. We also find a significant relationship between air pollution exposures and firms access to bank loans. The environmental friendly firms (the high pollution, high energy consumption and overcapacity firms) are easier (more difficult) access to bank loans when the cities they allocated experience the high-level air pollution. Finally, we find that the capital markets react the announcement of the green credit policies positively for environmental friendly firms and negatively for the high pollution and high energy consumption firms.

　　报告人简介：董轶哲， 英国阿伯丁大学 (University of Aberdeen) 金融学副教授 (终身教职), 博士生导师. 获得拉夫堡大学 (Loughborough University) 金融学博士，诺丁汉大学 (University of Nottingham)金融学硕士，卡迪夫大学(Cardiff University)经济学硕士和华南理工大学学士。曾担任英国亚伯大学(Aberystwyth University) 讲师和杜伦大学(Durham University)博士后研究员。致力于金融机构效率，银行经营与管理，公司治理, 公司金融, 绿色金融和资本市场的研究。先后在 European Journal of Operation Research, European Journal of Finance, International Review Financial Analysis, British Accounting review, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money， Economic Modelling和Information Systems Frontiers等国际著名学术期刊上发表10多篇学术论文, 并在4本专著中发表5个书本章节。2017年由Palgrave Macmillan出版社出版题为《Microfinance for Entrepreneurial Development: Sustainability and Inclusion in Emerging Markets》的专著。 董轶哲还先后多次组织重要国际学术会议并被邀请在多个知名国际学术会议上作报告。
